Leighton Motorsports from Eagle, ID has decided to choose Reel Cameras as its action camera of choice. Reel is headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, ID, and is a family-owned business. The Leighton Team competes on the ISOC/Amsoil Championship Snocross circuit in the U.S. and Canada.
Reel Cameras manufactures and distributes the HD Slayer, an industry leading action sport POV camera.
Leighton Motorsports is a family-owned Polaris factory snocross race team that was established in September, 2008, and is based in Eagle, ID. The team was started by Trace Leighton and his wife Wendy. The Leighton family has been involved with different types of racing and sports since 1988. In 2006, their son, Trevor convinced them to allow him to race snocross.
During their first year racing they met some great people and made many new friends. In year two of racing the Leighton's ventured back East a little so Trevor could race the Nationals.
The team now consists of riders Trevor Leighton, Zak Mason and Corin Todd, all competing on the national circuit in the Pro-Lite class. Jennifer Pare is another team member competing in the Pro Women's class.
"Leighton Motorsports is very excited for the opportunity to work with Reel Cameras," team owner Trace Leighton said. "Our team was built around family and we have been fortunate to partner with many Idaho companies, forming one big family. With our presence on and off the track, we are able to provide these companies with national exposure directly to snowmobile fans.
"We are even more excited about what Reel Cameras is going to do for our racers. With these cameras we will be able to immediately download footage shot during each race. This is going to be the greatest learning tool our racers will have. They will be able to see both the mistakes they made and also the things they did right."
Reel Cameras was founded in 2011 by Dan Baker, Caleb Baker and Chad Baker. They saw a need for a more user-friendly yet versatile action camera. Their research and development led to the HD Slayer coming to market.
