It may have been just a little too nice outside on the first day of the Idaho Snowmobile Show in Boise. But according to the weather reports, it's just the calm before the storm.
Don't believe us? Check this out: http://www.weather.gov/. As you can see, most of Idaho is under some kind of winter storm warning. So the timing couldn't have been better for the Idaho Snowmobile Show. Get the gear, see the sleds, plan your trips before the snow starts to fly. You could do it all on the first day of the Idaho Snowmobile Show, sponsored by SnoWest Magazine, the Idaho State Snowmobile Association and Allstate Insurance.
Brand new sleds from Arctic Cat, Polaris and Ski-Doo were on display, several destinations were at the show to tout the riding in their areas, the Kids Corner had face painting as well as an avalanche beacon search, the SnoWest project sled build-as well as our mountain snow bike build-were in full gear, the MotorFist gear up challenge was on tap and the Klim photo booth, where you can have your picture taken and placed on a cover SnoWest Magazine, were all on front and center at the show. That's doesn't even include all the aftermarket companies with products and accessories on display.
Here's a look back at the day's events. It starts all over again Saturday at 10 a.m. and runs to 6 p.m.
