With snow in the mountains and more snow forecast over the
next few days, it couldn't be a better time for a snowmobile show to roll
around. And we're in luck because this weekend is the Intermountain Snowmobile
Show in Salt Lake City.
Friday and Saturday (Oct. 26-27) are the days of the
Intermountain Snowmobile Show at the Salt
Lake County
Events Center in South Jordan (http://equestrian.slco.org/location/location.html), a suburb of Salt
Lake City. Times for the snow show this year are
Friday from 3-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The show is sponsored
by SnoWest Magazine (http://www.snowest.com/index.cfm), the Utah Snowmobile Association (http://snowut.com/)
and Allstate Insurance (www.allstate.com/).
All four snowmobile manufacturers will have their latest
2013 model year snowmobiles on display. This gives you a chance to get up close
and personal with some of the industry's best innovations of the season.
There will be snowmobiles and lots of aftermarket products
to adorn those sleds. Several aftermarket parts companies and snowmobile
dealers will be on hand to show off their latest products. Don't forget to take
a look at the stylish snowmobile clothing that will keep you warm while making
you look hot on the snow. Feel free to color-coordinate everything with your
sled.
Then you'll want to stop by one of the many trailer dealers
to see which trailer will suit your needs to get you to that trailhead in
style. And once you're done shopping, be sure to visit your Allstate
representative at the show so you can make certain your insurance needs are up
to date.
You can discover new snowmobiling resorts and destinations
that will provide great winter vacation opportunities. You can see the latest
snowmobiling DVDs that get you stoked for winter.
Then there are the seminars. Seminars scheduled for this year
include: Dien Toussaint, Scott USA, discussing goggle tints and riding
conditions; Bret Rasmussen, Ride Rasmussen Style; John Aguinage, ToySkinz,
discussing sled wrap installations; and Dustin Pancheri, Starting Line
Performance, discussing how to "pre-season prep" your snowmobile. Pancheri will
also offer a more advanced "sled tuning" seminar on Friday at 7 p.m. A complete list of
seminars with times and topics is located on http://www.intermountainshow.com/.
We will also be working on our newest project sled. You can
watch as the SnoWest staff and other
invited sled builders bring to life the newest project sled, an Arctic Cat
ProClimb M 800. You can watch a crew of sled experts help Ryan Harris turn the
great new stock sled into a lightweight mountain buster.
As always, for those who like a bit of nostalgia, we will
also have our Antique Snowmobile Show. And for those who are looking for some
killer deals on used parts, USA
will have its annual swap meet on Saturday. A Show 'n Shine event is also
planned. For just $10 you can bring your pride-and-joy (sleds only please) to
show off and vie for great prizes from Western Power Sports and Ultimax.
We will also be giving out lots of door prizes. The main prizes
will come from Cardo Systems and Klim-who offer communications systems and
snowmobile clothing, respectively. But there will also be a lot of door prizes
given away throughout the show.
When you stop by the SnoWest
booth to renew your subscription to our magazine, make sure you get your name
entered into our latest contest, the 12 Days of SnoWest. This prize package is the biggest we've ever put together
and you'll want to make sure you have a shot at the many different prizes we're
giving away.
These are just the highlights of what you can expect at the
Intermountain Snowmobile Show. Keep an eye on www.intermountainshow.com for
continued updates, as well as special savings on admissions. The special ticket
prices are only available until Friday morning by 10:30 a.m.
