Fertile, Minn. - Winter may still be months away, but
fans of Christian Brothers Racing, Team Arctic, snowmobile racing and
snowmobiling will have a chance to meet and get an autograph from Pro snocross
and cross-country rider Logan Christian at the Minnesota State Fair.
Christian will be signing autographs in the Minnesota United
Snowmobiler's Association (MnUSA) State Fair booth this Friday, Aug. 24, from 1
to 2 p.m. The appearance was set up to help promote the partnership formed
between Christian Brothers Racing and MnUSA for the coming 2013 snowmobile
season.
"Our business is racing, but we realized we also have a
great opportunity to reach a large number of younger snowmobilers through our
race team," Christian Brothers Racing co-owner Dwight Christian, said. "It's
important that we get the next generation of snowmobilers involved to help
secure the future of our trail systems."
The campaign has been dubbed, "We get it ...do you?" and is
a joint promotion between MnUSA and Christian Brothers Racing. In addition to
appearing at the Minnesota State Fair, Christian Brothers Racing makes
appearances at numerous county fairs and other exhibitions across the state
of Minnesota.
They also spend the winter racing snocross, enduros and
cross-country in Minnesota as well
as across the snowbelt and Scandinavia.
The team travels with its race trailer as well as a vending trailer where
racing fans and snowmobile enthusiasts can buy the same gear the team uses when
it competes.
As part of the new MnUSA partnership fans will be able to
get information about how to become involved with MnUSA at the Christian
Brothers Racing vending trailer. Involvement with MnUSA helps secure the future
of the state trail system.
"MnUSA's partnership with Christian Brothers Racing is a
great way for us to reach out to young snowmobilers and get them involved to
help secure the future of our state trail system," MnUSA President Mark
Steinmuller said. "Also, we hope to work together to get the message out to
people that racing belongs on the track, not the trails."
The MnUSA booth is located at 1460 Cosgrove Avenue next to
the 4H building between Wright Avenue and Dan Patch Avenue on the east side of
the fairgrounds. Christian will be at the booth Friday, Aug. 24, from 1 to 2
p.m.
