St. Germain, WI - The annual Snowmobile Hall Of Fame Classic
Sled Roundup, sponsored by Arctic Cat, will take place on Sunday, May 27, in the
community park on Hwy. 70 W in St.
Germain, WI.
The event is one of two major fund raisers for the SHOF.
The other is the Ride With The Champs held in February.
The vintage show and swap meet begins with registration at 7
a.m. The swap area opens at 6:30 a.m. for early arrivers. Swap spots are $20,
$30 and $40, depending on the size of your vehicle and trailer. The judging of
sleds will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All classes will be judged and awards
given to 1st place and runner up positions. Award presentation is at 3 p.m.
Show sled registration is $5 per sled. An additional $20
donation to the Snowmobile Hall of Fame allows display under the pavilion roof.
The public is invited to view the displays and walk through the swap areas at no
admission cost.
More than 100 classic and antique sleds are expected, along
with hundreds of swap spaces. The event has grown in size every year since its beginning
nine years ago.
Food is served all day by the BoBoen Snowmobile Club of St.
Germain. Old Wisconsin brats and hotdogs
donated by Old Wisconsin thru Camp's Super Value of St. Germain will be served.
Other food and sandwich items are also available. Arctic Cat products, courtesy
of R & R Motorsports of Hazelhurst, WI, will also be on display.
There will also be a silent auction of donated items to
benefit the SHOF, a 501(C)(3) organization which operates the Hall of Fame and
Museum on Hwy. 70 in St. Germain.
At 3 p.m., the drawing will take place for the 1978 Arctic Cat Cross Country factory
race sled restored by Brian Nelson, original builder of the racer. Raffle
tickets are available on the SHOF website or at the Roundup. They are $10 or 3
for $20. Second place drawing is for a vacation package at Black Bar Lodge on
