In collaboration with the Canadian Avalanche Centre (CAC), a
research team at Simon Fraser University
in Vancouver is
currently conducting an online survey on mountain snowmobiling and avalanche
awareness.
The goal of the research team is to gather information
on how mountain riders perceive avalanche hazard and how we decide where
to ride.
The results of this study will lead to tools and
services that better support our sled community.
While there are occasional references to the Canadian
Avalanche Centre, this survey is geared to mountain snowmobilers in general and
riders from other countries can simply substitute in their local forecast
organizations as appropriate.
