Getting There West Yellowstone is located at the junction of U.S. Highways 20 and 191 in the far southwest corner of Montana

Getting Around There is a dealer for all the major brands of snowmobiles right in town as well as several other snowmobile rental businesses. Some also offer guided snowmobile trips. The chamber has a complete list of dealers and rental outfits.

Bedding Down This is a town built on tourism so there is no shortage of accommodations in town for every price range. And yes, that's true even in the winter, when some of the lodging businesses are closed for the season. The past couple of winters we've stayed at the Faithful Street Inn (866-646-4329 or www.faithfulstreetinn.com), located at 120 N. Faithful St. The Inn offers a mix of cabins and townhouses for small and large groups (2-18 people). We've stayed in the townhouses and found them very clean and comfortable. Faithful Street Inn cabins and townhouses have full kitchens, cable TV and wireless internet. As with most of the lodging places in town, you can snowmobile right from your room, which is a nice bonus. And while the Faithful Street Inn really isn't too far from restaurants and other businesses, it's located on a quiet street if that's what you're looking for.

Eating Out Again, this is a resort town so pick a kind of food you like and chances are you can find it. Some restaurants are closed in the winter but there are still plenty open during the cold season. The chamber has a complete list of dining options in town.
