Can you ride?
Well, if you didn't get that call from SnoWest publisher Steve Janes this past week, the answer is ... likely not with him this year.
Three lucky snowmobilers, however, did get the call and did respond: Heck ya!
Kenny Wartluft of Gooding, ID, Travis Barton of Bozeman, MT, and Jacob Birchall of Pleasant Grove, UT, will each invite two of their riding buddies to compare three stock 800cc 2011 snowmobiles-Polaris RMK Pro 800, Arctic Cat M8 SnoPro and Ski-Doo Summit X 800-to evaluate what they believe is the best on the mountain. Their evaluations, along with the views of the SnoWest's SnowTest crew, will be included in the March issue of SnoWest Magazine.
Wartluft's name was selected from the more that 10,000 attendees at the Utah and Idaho snowmobile shows this past fall. Barton's name was selected from the 20,000 who either subscribe to SnoWest or sent in their entry cards. And Birchall was selected from the SnoWest Forum members.
Each of these three will also be suited for the occasion, complements of Klim, a leading manufacturer of performance snowmobiling clothing. Hey, we know you can ride ... we just want to make sure you look good while doing it.
The rides will take place during January to meet our March Issue deadline.
And for those thousands who came close to earning that once in a lifetime opportunity to be a snowmobile test pilot ... well, start planning for next year. After all, we know that you can ride.
