After seeing the 2010 snowmobile line-up from Arctic Cat, Stan Checketts had a vision-a double vision.
Checketts, a rollercoaster designer from Logan, UT, wanted to put his craftsmanship skills to use by creating a snowmobile that would make people look not once, but twice. Starting with two M1000 Sno Pro mountain sleds, Checketts' end result was an Arctic Cat appropriately dubbed, "Double Vision."
This amazing snowmobile is joined together by one common seat and set of handlebars which turns via two skis, but is powered by both engines, both tracks and dual throttle levers.
Checketts commented, "We wanted to build something completely off the wall and wanted it to be fast as well. So we put a turbo on each motor that creates roughly 600 plus total horsepower. It's really amazing to see in person."
If you want to get a closer look, Double Vision will be on display at the World Snowmobile Expo March 12-14 in West Yellowstone, MT, as well as the World Championship Snowmobile Hillclimb in Jackson Hole, WY, March 25-28.
