Each of the Big Four-Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha-have special deals brewing this spring for those riders who want to pony up early to reserve any number of unique machines being offered during the spring promotions.
You can even see these snowmobiles in person at any of the sneak peaks that are still left this spring. The show times are from 4-9 p.m. at each location. Also, there is no admission charge.
Here is the remaining schedule for the West:
March 31 Expo Idaho Boise, ID
April 6 Greater Tacoma Convention Center Tacoma, WA
April 8 Spokane County Fair & Expo Spokane, WA
April 13 Fargo Dome Fargo, ND
We're just going to hit some of the highlights of each manufacturer's spring promotion. We've included the link to each manufacturer's website so that you can get more information, as well as when each promotion ends.
Of course, some offers only apply to certain snowmobile models so do your homework on each respective manufacturer's website, head down to your local dealer or get to one of the sneak peeks.
Arctic Cat
"Pick Your Passion"
March 3-April 17
www.arctic-cat.com
If you purchase a 2011 M Series sled there's no down payment, no payments and no interest until March 1, 2011. You also get a free avalanche kit, which includes a Float 30 Avalanche Airbag, Tour shovel and Profile 240 Probe.
An interesting twist to Cat's promotion is its "We Guarantee It Won't Gain Weight" program. Essentially, if the sled's crated weight is 5 or more lbs. heavier this fall than Cat's published weights on its website, then Cat will give the consumer $500.
If you go with the M8 Sno Pro 153 LTD, you get a goggle bag, hand guard mounts, ice scratchers, backpack and rear storage bag.
Polaris
"Snowcheck Select 2011"
March 8-April 17
www.polarisindustries.com
www.terraindomination.com
Polaris' spring program-at least as far as those who ride the West are concerned-offers a couple of unique models. Those are the Pro RMK 155, which for the spring program comes in Turbo Silver and Black, and the RMK Assault 155, which is offered in Orange Madness for spring buyers.
Another part of Polaris' spring program includes a couple of choices. You can either choose a four-year bumper-to-bumper warranty (which is transferable, by the way) or a two-year powertrain warranty and $700 in gear. And there is 0 percent interest for 12 months for Snowcheck buyers.
All the options are included on Polaris' website.
Ski-Doo
"Spring Exclusive"
March 1-April 18
www.ski-doo.com
Ski-Doo's spring program has long featured sleds you can only buy in the spring. You don't buy a particular Ski-Doo model in the spring, well, you probably won't get it. That's true for Ski-Doo's newest model, the Summit Freeride, as well as the Summit X.
Ski-Doo is also claiming that if you want its new 800R E-Tec engine, your best chance of making sure of getting one in your Summit is to buy in the spring because the company will be limiting production of sleds with that engine in it.
If you buy a 2011 spring-exclusive Summit X you can either choose one of the following: a free Helium 30 Riding Gear kit or three-year engine coverage or no money down, no payements and no interest until March 2011 or free electric start. When it comes to the Freeride models, you can choose one of 10 unique sled wraps. Those options are listed on Ski-Doo's website.
One more Ski-Doo offer, called the Guaranteed Best Deal. Ski-Doo is guaranteeing that the spring promotion is the best deal the company will offer on 2011 in-season models or it will give buyers a credit for twice the difference.
Yamaha
"Yamaha Advantage Spring Voucher Program"
Ends April 16
www.yamaha-motor.com
www.yamaha-advantage.com
With Yamaha's spring program you can choose from either a four-year warranty or get $700 worth of Yamaha gear. The warranty program is valued at $700 as well.
There is also no deposit required when you go into a Yamaha dealer and order your sled. You just have to purchase the sled by Nov. 30 of this year.
