WHAT: During the daytime this New Year's Eve, Bostonians will have their socks blown off at Red Bull Sled Style. Some of the best professionals in freestyle snowmobiling will be speeding, soaring, flipping and getting some serious air in City Hall Plaza.
This free event will have up to 16 truckloads of snow hauled in and shaped to create a course for athletes to showcase their freestyle skills.
WHO: Heath Frisby has been a leader of the sled freestyle movement since its early stages. Creative, audacious, and never afraid to go huge, he returned from a broken back incurred in 2006 to take X Games bronze in 2007 at the first-ever Winter X freestyle snowmobile event. Frisby took Bronze at X games in 2008 and 2009, and is currently training hard to take Gold at X games 2010. As a crowd favorite on the Red Bull SCS Demo tour, Frisby is instrumental in growing the popularity of his sport.
