The only way you might know that Scott USA has moved into new offices in Idaho's Sun Valley area is if you knew their old address, went to it and found they were no longer there. But since most every consumer who uses Scott USA never physically goes to the company's Ketchum, ID, office, you probably won't notice anything different as the mailing address, phone numbers and web addresses are all the same.
The move was made in mid-July and Scott's new offices are only about a half-mile from its former location. Scott USA has moved into a three-story building and occupies about three quarters of the first floor. There are condos on the other floors with the west-facing windows on all three floors offering views of Bald Mountain and the ski runs.
While the offices are nice and all, we think a couple of the coolest new features about Scott USA's new building are that there are showers and a locker room (along with a washer and dryer) that company employees can use that are located in one area of the offices. Scott USA makes all sorts of products, including high-end bicycles, as well as other outdoor clothing and the company's employees are very active. Many ride, walk or jog during their lunch hour and they can now go back to the office and shower before returning to work. That's a nice perk.
Another sweet benefit is that, next to the underground parking garage, there is a hot water wash where the employees can clean off their bikes after a ride. There's also a storage area for pedal bikes down in the parking garage.
One aspect that Dyke Morris, who manages Scott USA's snowmobile clothing division, likes about the new offices is that all the different product managers are now located in the same area, facilitating communication between all of them.
