As most of you know, I have been fighting the burndowns all season. Over a month ago I verified that my 800 will start going stupid lean when climbing but only when close to 1/2 tank of fuel. The fuel pump assembly has been replaced with no change in symptom. The fuel pressure does not deviate from 58 lbs even when going lean. It will never go lean when the tank is full, never.
My 800 runs WOT at 12.5 to 12.8 to 1 normally but when it goes lean it will rapidly climb past 15 or 17 or worse before I can let off the gas and turn out. Once again it will never go lean when full or when on flat ground.
I even replaced the pickup with one that doesn't have a bleed hole in it and it is still going lean. I was convinced that the problem would have been fixed by this. Who is running a wideband and have you experienced this?
