What belt works best for money on the M1000
060 is $206 in canada
046 is $106 in canada
and an Charsile UltimaxXS is $80 in canada
I want to try the ultimaXS has anyone out there tried one? that has input to give

Carlisle(spelling?), 0r 046 imo I ran the carlisle on my 07 as a spare didn't have any trouble with it. Have been running the 046 but I have spent a ton of time and money getting them to stay together. Gearing seemed to be the thing that helped the most.

they are similar to the 060 IMO. Stickier and little inconsistent when they get hotter. Just like the 060 if you ask me.

also, they tend to go BOOM!!! when the go to. no threads, just bang and then pieces everywhere...

Run the 046

I've used the 060, Carlisle XS801, and found them to have poor life - the Carlisle one being the worst. 700 miles on my current 046 with no problems, and this is on an 07 M1000 with a few goodies. I don't think the 060 is worth the extra $$$ in my opinion.

Where are you at? The 060 from my dealer in Edmonton was $150.

Shim the secondary just so the sled starts to move at idle and your belt life will increase significantly. Use the stock A/C belt for the M1000.

For some reason the M1000 requires a tight belt for longevity and performance will increase, too.

060 has worked best for me

I have run both of them so far this season but i think the 060 works better for where i am at. 3000-6000 ft. Also just for information Mtn. Motorsports is having a sale on their arctic cat belts right now. Not sure how long the sale will last.

http://www.mountainmotorsports.biz/

$53 for the 046
$100 for the 060

Any purchase over $100 gets free shipping within US
