Vf 3 reeds

Have a question, I ride a 2009 800 Dragon slp single and VF 3 reeds. Question is I have heard that there has been problems with the fingers of the reeds breaking off. Anyone had first hand experience with this or heard anything about it. Do not want a problem after I get the motor update. Any info would be appreciated.

I have replaced a couple sets on customer sleds and have actually ended up going back to stock in both cases because the 3's keep chipping and breaking. They are a great product in most cases but for some reason they break on the cfi sleds. On the carbed units they seem to last because of the fluid cushion from fuel but the cfi's they are dry and they chip quite quickly. You need to check them frequently.
