So I am really liking my 06 XF700 Sp so far! The sled is light, has a lot of torque and has made it 1500 miles with no problems. My only complaint is that the top end speed just isn't there like it was on my previous sleds. Around 90 is the best I can do usually, although it has made it to the mid to upper 90s on occassion. I assume they are geared down somewhere between an M and a Firecat, but just wanted to verify that there isn't something wrong with mine. thanks

your top rpm should be 7800-7900 rpm
now pending on your track and conditions including temperature you should normally see over 100mph.with the stock 1.25 ripsaw
i had an intense 1.5 lug on a couple years ago and seen 106-107 mph on the speedo and 104 -105 on the gps with that track.
then last year i ran the backcountry 1.75 and never seen over 100mph,now this year i went the 141 route with an attack 20 track thats been cut down to about 1.8 and i doubt i will see 90 mph, likely 80-85

So i took it out the other day, even though our snow is about gone and 7840rpms was the best that i have seen. I don't know a thing about clutches so it may have to go to my stealer! Is 1400 miles about average for secondary rollers?
