Installing the Sentry Skid plate on my 22 Khaos. I would assume the 3 holes in the rear of the skid plate are supposed to line up with the 3 holes that are already drilled in aluminum panel on the bottom of the sled. Well the 2 outer holes don’t. And they aren’t off by very much. Secondly what are guys using instead of the self tapping screws? Put the middle one in and it just strips out before it even gets close to tight. Only screwing into the thin plate under the sled. Kinda pissed off at the quality here and just wanted to check before I go drilling more holes in my brand new sled. I’ve just used the same large head rivets used for attaching the snowflap for Pro/Axys on my 22 and a few axys’s before it after the self tapping screws would start backing themselves out after awhile. Never had any issues after that and easy enough to drill out if you have to take the plate off.

Have installed two on the Matryx, with poo bumper. Fitment is good, not great, takes some awkward hand pressure to align well, warming it up helps. Got a hunch the plates vary abit from molds and hole jigs. Kit fasteners are sucky. Don't believe rear holes are for the plate. For rear fasteners, I use Doo black round head self tapers from their plate kits, with blue LT, have a bunch leftover. Never back out, very hard, slide over anything without catching, easy to remove. Takes time to positioned and align carefully.

FWIW to any who care, if mounting a poo Matryx front bumper together with the poo plate, the lower front bolt provided in the skid kit is too short to install through both plates below the pipe with enough threads, if at all. Common size, but gotta turn to the excess fasteners box to secure it correctly. JMPE.
