Scary EGT readings on M8 with SLP pipe with NO fuel controller

wyoboy is correct in stating that his plugs look good. you need to check the plugs along with the temps to get an acurate reading of your mixture, but if your probes are in the correct spot, I have a hard time believeing that 1150 is where your motor runs the strongest, unless your starting to detonate a little bit when you lean it out more. i could be wrong though

Could be det, My 07 pinged once and it was a very distinctive noise. I havent heard a ping on this one. It may not be running as hard but it is smoother and feels like there is more torque. Not worth the risk to run leaner when your competition can't keep up anyway. When I was running in the 1250 temps the plugs where black around the ring but the entire end of the plug was a light brown. Not the leanest I've seen but if I held it there for a while it would eventually cause a problem.
