EVIL Drought type high pressure system set up off Northern California Coast.

Some flurries expected Monday 28 December then nothing .. nodda . ziltch NO STORMS LIKELY FOR ABOUT 10-20 days PLUS A WARMING TREND LIKELY FOR JANUARY 2016

Just a matter of a few days until the high pressure ridge brings in above freezing temps to at least 7-8000 feet ALL day.

ON A GOOD NOTE .... looks like most of the Sierras received 12 plus inches of powder at 8000 feet over Christmas.

Snows in December and then nothing hmmmm where have i seen that pattern before. The last 3-4 years maybe To bad this season was starting to appear it was going to be different. It was so nice to see the foothills in reno white again.

There are people going but hopefully secret/favorite pockets will be unmolested for a few weeks,
the trail portion might be rough
