Ordered the slp intake and gonna get the pipe coming soon, What did everyone do for clutching? I not real fond of the MTX weights, Can i just change weights? whats weights, spring, etc. should i order? I like the way the sled pulls now but realize i need more RPM's with the pipe.

thanks everyone

Install the pipe kit and the intake. Go ride it, note the rpm. Then use stock cat wieghts to dial it in. Try to target 8050 in a climb. I have tried the mtx wieghts, waste of money. If you need to you can grind the side of the stock cat wieghts.

I havent done anything with clutching with my pipe yet either, I have just rode up and down the ditch a few times here since theres almost no snow. What weights should i be running for 0-3000'?

What does everyone not like about the MTX weights? I run them with my SLP pipe setup and it works awesome.

There is a function on the stock speedo that shows max rpm. You need to reset it and then do a WOT run. Then check. I would assume you are running 77 Gram weights in the primary now.

Drop 2-3G off the stock wieghts and you should be good to go. You want to see at least 8000rpm and that is in a climb not on the trail. I overrev a little on the trail and hit 8000 on the hill.

I'm running 73 gram weights with the SLP single and turning 8010 RPM while climbing. The sled only has 50-60 miles on it so I assume I'll be closer to 8,100RPM shortly, which is the target RPM for the SLP pipe.

What altitude do you ride at?
