Question, Assault steering column

I have a 07 700 Dragon in need of a new steering column, I think a replacment colmn for an Assaut will fit and they look stronger. Anyone know otherwise?

If you do this, you will need a pivot adapter. The bar mounting is not the same.

I will be using a skins mountain bar or the Assault bar. Not sure yet, summer mod.

I would just have Wildchild make you a cromoly post... that will be much stronger than anything offered by the factory in mild steel.

The cost will be nearly the same.

He can make them WAY stronger if you like for about 1/2 lb more weight and make it a bit taller so you can run a reasonable rise in the bars.


The 2009 Dragon and assault have the same steering post assy, part # 1823570-329
