Poalris 800 Primary question

I have a 2003 pro x with an 04 rmk 800 motor in it. I am looking to buy a primary with the ES ring and wanted to know if I have to find the exact part number or would any of them work as long as its an 800 P85 primary. Thanks for any help.

I'm not an authority but I do know that 2000-2005 P85 clutches with the bumped out face fit the 800's.


You are correct in that you need to find one with the electric starter ring already attached.


And then you have to determine if it's needs to be rebuilt.


Seems like I saw some nice new clutches for sale at the Waconia, MN Swap and then again at Hay Days.


Have you tried Googling to see if you couldn't get a NOS unit?

As long as it is for a 2000-2005 800 you are good to go. You can also use the 05-06 900 clutch on them. Technically you can use a 700 clutch but they often don't have the bigger cover bushing.
