Curious as to how much play there should be in the steering on my 07 M8. It seems like there is much more movement in all directions than all my friends sleds, none of which however are arctic cats. The ball joints on the arm that connects to the post seem fine, so i'm wondering if the play is at the top end in the black plastic rubber looking bushing behind the plate, or down below the motor where you can't really see anything. Does the clamp bushing at the top of the post need wear out quickly? What kind of maintenance is required on the steering? I've installed a 3" riser. This is my first sled.

Thanks.

You can tighten up the two nuts on the top post clamp (under the hood). Keeping the zurts greased helps some, also. Other than that .. they all have play to one extent or another.
