Hay tearing down my 800 I found a pipe plug in the lower head coolent line. Anyone know why this my be there are no other mods done to cooling system. The only mods are slp motor adds.

From your description, I'm going to guess you found it in the small line that runs from the underside of the head and wraps around to the water pump on the front of the motor? It isn't "normal", but someone may have put it there to cut off any coolant flow through this "bypass" hose. The bypass part of the cooling system routes warm coolant back into the water pump to help the motor warm up faster and help keep coolant temps more consistant. The down side is that it can make the motor run hotter which can reduce performance (especially in modded motors).
