i noticed that my pro rmk has two timing settings that pertain to ethanol and non ethanol fuel. Chevron 94 is a non ethanol fuel. check out reply i received from chevron.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding ethanol product. Please be informed that there are some regulatory provisions for ethanol in gasoline that apply to our products in Province of BC, Alberta and others. Our plan is to be compliant; 10% ethanol by volume, would be the % maximum in the blended gasoline in most grades of gasolines.

The Province of BC has issued an RFRR gasoline mandate for 2010 as of Jan 1.

However, Regarding Supreme Plus (94 octane), it does not contain ethanol nor do we have any plans in the future to add ethanol to the product. Supreme Plus remains a core product in our suite of fuels and we plan to continue to offer it at our BC facilities. USA Chevron gasolines may contain up to 10% ethanol by volume, depending on the area you live in. Where ethanol blended gasoline is sold, it is present in all three grades.

BC's Reformulated Fuel Standard (RFS) requires that an average of 5% renewable fuel content be blended into all gasolines. To meet this mandate, Chevron Canada is now blending ethanol into our Chevron Regular, Chevron Regular Plus and Chevron Supreme gasolines. The refining and blending of gasoline is a complex scientific process. As part of the conversion process to begin blending ethanol into our gasolines, it is necessary to adjust our Chevron Supreme gasoline to a 91 octane rating. Chevron's Supreme gasoline now has a consistent octane rating in both Canada and the United States. The octane rating for Chevron Regular, Regular Plus and Supreme Plus gasolines remains unchanged.

In line with Federal and State regulations we continue to blend ethanol into retail gasoline in increasing amounts. Again, in some areas of the United States, depending on regulatory requirements, Chevron or Texaco gasolines may at some times contain ethanol at up to 10 volume percent. We regret that we cannot be specific as regards timing or location because of the complexity and changing nature of gasoline distribution and regulatory obligations.

Unfortunately, we do not have a listing of service stations that carry do not carry E-10 gasoline. We understand that some customers prefer certainty in their selection of gasoline formulation, and regret that we cannot be of more help in that regard. We can, however, assure the high quality and performance of Chevron gasoline, irrespective of formulation. Any formulation of Chevron or Texaco branded gasolines are Top Tier with Techron You may contact your State government for details on its ethanol programs.

The following matrix outlines various actions that affect ethanol production and marketing. See Retail Pump Labeling Requirement. (Ethanol)

Ethanol is likely to be blended into much of US gasoline in at least the next 13 years. This list can guide you for each States retail pump labeling requirement. Most/all auto manufacturers approve use of ethanol to the 10 vol % maximum. (The use of ethanol blended in gasoline to a limit of 10.0 vol%) Modern vehicles are designed to perform well on up to 10 percent ethanol.
