I bought a 17 assault 800 with low compression. Top end wasn’t horrible but put a new monoblock and pistons in.
I have it back together, and noticed it’s a bit noisy in the clutch side. When I rock the clutch back and forth, there is a bit of a noise. I wasn’t sure if it was just the clutch, so I removed it and rocked the crank back and forth. There is a tiny bit of “movement” and sound when I rock it. Is this normal, or is that a sign of a bad bearing?
When the had the top end off, I checked the rods and whatnot and everything seemed tight and no movement. Could this be the rod to piston area that’s moving a bit?
