Helping a friend with his 02 700RMK and would like to know what a good set-up would be. It has a silver/blue in the secondary in 3rd hole of an R8 helix and a black primary spring. Not sure what weights are in it yet still having trouble getting primary off. He has a pipe and can on it, but everything else appears to be stock. We ride usually from 3000 to 7000ft.

Keep that secondary settup and get a Almond round sprimary spring and as much weight as it will pull on a clib...probably 10-62's. A SLP black/grey secondary spring with the R-8 may be a slight improvement also. What length track?

It's a 144x2". Got any tricks on getting the primary off? I don't think it's been off in a long time. I have a 2000 700RMK just wasn't sure if they ran about the same set-up. I'm running 10-60's with black/white primary, team roller secondary with red/black I believe, slp single, boysen reeds, and geared 19/42 turning a 151x2". Thanks for your input winter brew.

Impact on the clutch puller until it won't go any more, apply heat to the clutch, whack the puller with a 3# mallet 3 times, impact some more, heat some more, whack it again a couple times, repeat if necessary.

As for the clutching, what Winter Brew said.

clutch help

Like Fez says to pull the clutch, just make sure you TAP on the end of the puller only like you are hitting a nail, and I would switch to a team secondary clutch, much improved shift quality and will outclimb the button sec. hands down. Got one to sell if anyone is looking.

Team secondary Did make quite a difference. Completely changed the view of riding for me. my sled became quick and snappy and pulled up hills pretty dam good for an ol 700 144. beat many M7's after i switched to the team. Good luck- me sled is for for sale and up for grabs- bought me a new Drago
