Cracked a coolent hose last week and got the top end super hot (melted the head bolt o-rings). Decided to do a complete top end rebuild. Was getting a 2-1 code before the rebuild (because of coolant & sucking air into the combustion chamber.)
Just finished the rebuild, and keep getting a 2-1 code running in the shop. Convinced the rebuild is fine and the engine is fine.
Could the sensor be bad, or is it some ECU bug? Were there issues with the 07 M8 original mapping (which I still have) getting stuck on a code?
Leaving for a long trip tomorrow and don't quite know what to do ...
