in light pow a 162 will dominate a 153 at hill climbing, but if you can get traction a 153 is better. I ride from WA to WY and in WA most prefer a 153 and in WY the hardly sell 153 so it kinda depends on where you ride and how you ride. I ride a 162 everywhere and wouldn't change it but I can through a 162 around pretty easy.

162 all the way

I rode sleds with both tracks and couldn't really tell any difference in the handling when boondocking and stuff. But the 162 will definitely give you more float in the fluff.

I spoke to two different tech representatives at SLP today independently. They both said without a doubt, get the 153". No hesititation whatsoever.

One of them said, like the M8 hits the sweet spot for power to weight. The 153-155" hits the sweet spot for float vs. fun. They also said if making the highmark on the hill means everything to you, then get the 162".

I spoke to Morehouseperformance also and was told the very same thing.

Today it's three for three for me.

I think I'll get the 162". :D

At 150lbs and deep powder I have no problems with the 153". I also have a 162". Both M-8's. Noticeably a little slower to turn and to get up on its side with the longer track. Definitely feels sportier with the shorter 153" and now my favorite!!:beer;:beer;
