if you increase RPM past where the engine makes the most power, you will have less track speed.
You can play with clutching to try to get more track speed, or gear down which should help the clutches run more efficiently, but I don't think you will gain much.
My 153 turns about the same track speed.

I have mine running at 7650-7700 rpm peak. Very strong, reliable and high fun factor:D

k, so my m1000 stock sucks. Pulling about 7350 rpm almost 45 mph track speed. same as above. so obviously i'm not happy getting outperformed by the 800's i ride with. So what to do about it, you'd think a 1000 would outperform 800 stock anytime. Theres gotta be more power available for not much money, 162 hp stock as they claim is quite a bit higher than any 800. I run between 6-10000 feet. and currently stock everything! give some suggestions to those of us not happy with our stock really heavy 800 (all it really is)
