I have an 05 m7 with shift assist and the m8 orange sec spring. I am running my 9,000 and above weights at approx. 10,000 ft. I can only get 7500 to 7600 rpms out of it. Am I missing something? Motor and exhaust is all stock.

if your going off the stock speedo, they have been known to read 200 rpm's off, plus or minus. How old is your belt and how tight of deflection? You can turn the white adjuster ring in the helix and load more secondary spring pressure to give yourself more rpm's.

belt delflection is good, and the belt does have some miles on it. Will a worn belt cause it to lose rpms?

Did you put your retainer ring in .5 inches that might be a issue and put a scre in it because they are prone to backing out. You could try a stiffer primary spring but that will sacrifice grip

I do have the m8 orange spring in my secondary and the adjuster was in probably an 1/8". Do I want it in further? I thought I read somewhere when you do the shift assist and stiffer spring to back the adjuster all the way off.

I am not exactly sure about that I just have a buddy with the same setup and his runs pretty good but if I was you I would be going to a torsional setup

what about lighter weights? I have what it calls for in it now, but was thinking about adjustables. Will this bring up my rpms?

Hate to sound like a broken record, but check fuel pressure, (or plugs and wash)...lots of these run rich because of too much fuel pressure.

Lighter weight just kills trackspeed, in my experience...
