Koso temp gauge not reading correct

This one's got me stumped.

Just installed a Koso Mini LCD water temp gauge sensor in the engine outlet to front intercooler hose. Power from the auxiliary plug (red/blue wire) behind the steering post cover (07 M8). Know I'm getting 12V power because the backlight comes on.

Temps are reading way high, almost like they're 2X. Before the engine even starts, cold it's reading 145F, then warmed up at idle it's reading 210+. No way ...

Tried different grounds, check connections, etc..

Used the sensor that came with the hose adapter instead of the one that came with the gauge because it stuck out into the coolent stream better. Maybe the sensors are different?

Any ideas?

Yep .. just changed out the sensor/probe and works fine now. So, don't use the sensor that comes with the hose adaptor.
