Is the 155" track too much for the stock 600 engine?

I'm looking at buying another sled but is confused on what to get for the mountains I had a '02 RMk 700 151' It was good for me I am 5' 4" AND 145LBS. Lightwieght. I want a cfi 600 or 700 not sure what length track to get. Most of my mountain riding is done in Wyoming. The guys I would be riding with all have 700 155's and a couple of 900 151's Thanks for the advise in advace

I think that the 700 is the best sled ever. I had a 08 700 155 with an SLP single on it. It ripped. The only thing that lacked was torque. The motor would bog down while climbing and compressing the suspension, but I'm pushing 200 lbs before riding gear too. I ride with a gal that is about your. She rode an 07 600 155 with an SLP single. She upgraded to an 800 155 and she does great. She isn't a super rider, but she does dam good and has little fear. If I were to have a 600 with a 155, it would have a little hair dryer attached to the side of it.

Personally I'd go 700, however that 600 pulls a 155" pretty darn good (we had one for a day). It feels nimble and actually climbs quite well. Either choice is a good one. JMHO

Seeing as how your riding partners have 700s or bigger I would try to get a 700 as well. The 600 will pull the 155 okay especially with your weight.

A new 600 155" will be impressive coming off an 02 700. Of course bigger 700's and 800's will have more torque for climbing, but depending on your riding, the 600 will get a 145 pounder just about anywhere. Impress your buds when you take a "little" 600 where their 900's go...makes bragging more fun!

You on a 600/155 is performance ahead of a 200lbs person on an 800/155.

I'd argue that if you are a skilled free rider/on a well set up buggy that you can even go 144/600 and go anywhere your buddies are going. I had (have) an 07 144/660 and rode that thing all over Idaho/Oregon/Wyoming/Utah with all kinds of hot dogs on every kind of iron and did just fine.:face-icon-small-hap

For me the shorter sled is more fun to ride. Way sportier feel on a 144 then a 155 with the same power output. We had several versions of IQ RAW's in power/track combos to play on through the past few years. Pretty simple formula...if you are big and fat you need lots of track (and more power) to have the same amount of fun/feel as a skinny person on a little sled! brap brap
