Introducing the 'Altitude' Bag from Sled Solutions

We wanted to release our new stuff as soon as possible so everyone can scratch what tunnel bag you'll use next winter.

Our E-Series product line has been very popular over the last few winters so much so we've had plenty of shortage issues. Good and bad, good because we love that you LOVE the bags bad because we haven't been able to provide enough for everyone who wants one. We are fairly confident that issue has been fixed for the next season. Anyway, on to the new bag.

We wanted to provide a low profile bag with options for the technical rider who needs storage without the bulk. The Altitude bag is built like the Elevation bag just at a max height of 4" (without the shovel pouch). You can run this bag with out without the shovel storage pouch on top. The top can be removed with 4 quick release buckles giving you a slim tunnel bag. There will be two sizes, the first is the one shown and is 14 wide x 16 long and 4" tall giving you 900 cu.in. of storage space. The bottom is a plastic molded tray with a raised portion in the middle to allow air circulation around the bag.

Internally the bag is lined with a material that will allow velcro to stick to it. 1 storage pouch is located on the lid and 3 elastic straps are available to keep misc items in place.

Also included with the bag is a deluxe tool pouch and a small storage bag for bulkier misc items. Both items have velcro on the outside to stick inside where you want it.

Mounting is achieved with 4 quick side release buckles that rivet to the tunnel. Optional will be a hard mount system that will be available in fall.

99% waterproof, submersion or spring snow will allow contents to get wet.

Could you post a few pictures of the hard mounting for the top of the tunnel. Seen one in the cat section. Just would like a couple more to make my mine up. Thanks.

Paul, i ordered one of the E-series back country bags for my assault last year. that thing was nice. Are there going to be any changes for next year's sks or should i order the E-series Backcountry II bag?

This picture shows how it will install on the Polaris. I'll have more pictures soon.

Buy the looks of it can't you just use the bolts that Polaris uses for there tunnel bag and not that bracket part?

In the picture mounted to the Polaris tunnel. the plastic box part there is a black tab about 2" with no nut on it that looks like it uses the slot on top of the tunnel. Could you just use the slot bots and put them in side the box kind of where the bolts with nuts are. Hard to explain. But same way you install the Polaris shovel bag. That junk Polaris bag that keeps falling apart.

No because the bag sits in the tray and straps around the tray. You'd have to cut holes in the bottom of the bag to access the bolt.

These aren't the "official" photos but we couldn't wait so here are some quick photo's of the NEW Altitude 24 Bag. Bag is 24" long x 14" wide and 4" tall without the shovel on top. Shovel pouch is removable giving you the slimmest bag available. Two access hatches, one 8" and the other 16" that open away from one another. The idea is to give you quick access to drinks in the 8" compartment or access to larger items in the 16" compartment. There is an adjustable divider so you can customize the bag to your specific needs. Of course it's 99% waterproof like our other bags and Made in the U.S.A. Hard plastic bottom which keeps your content dry with a raised center allowing air flow around the bag reducing condensation. Price: TBD Available: Mid September

Are these 100 % water proof ?

I had a Holeshot bag which was water proof it always kept everything dry, until the zippers started falling apart one after the other.
This winter I have been using a Dan Adams Next lvl bag, which gets wet every time out. I have to dry it out after every ride,but the zippers are solid on this bag!
This time around I'd like a water proof bag with good zippers.

Under normal winter riding conditions you will not find the content getting wet. Riding in slushy spring snow, the only thing that's going to keep your stuff is dry is on your back. Most likely the wetness you're experiencing with the D/A bag is condensation. Our bags have high quality zippers and a plastic tray that is elevated off the tunnel surface. This allows air to flow around the bag reducing the chances of condensation. We've had great success with our bags over many years of selling them. Overall I would say you may have found the best of both of the bags you've used.
