I need some clutching help
I bought an 02 700 xcsp for the kids. It needed a new track, so I put a 136 1.5 lug track under it. I am getting a lot of belt heat with the new track. When the belt is cool, it will spin 8100 rpm. If on a short pull it will start at 8100 and then pull down to 7500rpms. The belt after the pull is too hot to touch. What clutching change from stock will help lesson the belt heat. I was thinking maybe a stiffer secondary spring on the top? Less helix? If that doesn't work what gearing?
