How low should I go DDrive on 09 M8

I am a bigger boy at 250 fully loaded ready to ride and geared my M7 down back in 06 and loved it. I mainly tree ride with exploring being my love and with my 162 M 8 my first belt only went 230 miles. All my older sleds I have had I have geared down to about 2.25-2.50 to 1 and never ran out of speed. What I like to try to get to is the most contact on BOTH sheaves at climbing speeds of 38-40 mph. I see they make a gear set-up that gets you 2.48 or something....Before I purchace them for 199 bucks any thoughts?????Thanks...Garry

54/66 works great & you can still go 80 mph. With this gearing it allows the clutches to shift out all the way.

2nd that. I geared my m8 to 54/66 as well and it pulls great. Still plenty of top end.
