For those few that don't know; every time you wash an IQ RMK or that style hood the water runs into the mag side power valve and quickly rusts the spring to nothing or else really softens it. Put plastic bag on valve caps during wash. FYI

There was something on this a while back. The drain hole causing the problem is located to the right of the headlight ajuster. I blocked that hole and drilled a new one to the left.

A pic on what you did to resolve it would be great. Not doubting anyone, but how does the water get into the power valve?

The drain hole in the hood by the headlight adjuster just so happens to exactly line up with the hole in the center of the power valve! What are the odds of that happening? Do not plug the hole in the power valve cover, that must be there. Either just put a drop of silcone in the hole in the hood and call it good, or take it one step farther and drill a new hole as well like was suggested above. In either case, silicone up the factory hole so you dont rust out the power valve spring. This happens not only when you wash them, but on a warm powder day as well when the snow up on you hood melts runs off.
