I'm going to on my 08 M8. What have others done, and what difference have you noticed? Any regrets? I know you lose some top speed, but not a big deal for me.

Thanks.

At high elevation I belive lower gears work great. At 0-3000 I would like to have the stock gears back. With the mix of riding we do in Alaska the stock M8 gears work good and our sleds produce enough power at 0-3000 ft. to run them. I am going back to the stock gear ratio in my Lite Drive.

55/65

I went with BDX 55/65 gears. During this fall, I also did the SLP pipe kit and BDX intake. So now I´m trying to figure out what clutch setup that works best. 77 or 80g, and what spring... (ride 0-3000ft). It pulls like a champ with both setups!! Lot more snap from bottom with 55/65 gears, just as I wanted to. As for top speed - it´s still enough!

Where are you located? I run 77 grams in the primary with slp 140/340.

What is your engagement and top rpm with that spring, Jason? Was just about to order that spring, actually.

I would have to check the engagement, it around 3600 Rpm I like it. I hit 8170 Rpm with the 340 finish at 1450 Ft.
