Fox Floats Difference

Does anyone know the difference between Fox Floats of an 05 F7SP & 09 F8SP? I bought a set of an 09 F8 for my F7,but they are sitting too low. I was told they were the same size,but I`m thinking different size or revalved differently. I`ve did alot of searching & calling,but haven`t found the correct info.
