EGT Sensor Problem

P
Ive got a 2006 RMK 900. Runs great, excellent power, all in all good sled. Heres the problem. Check engine light bliks five (5) times. It always blinks. on startup, idle, and running. I have replaced the EGT sensor, cleaned associated connections. The Code Page says it will illuminate if the Vdc is above 4.9 or below 0.06 for 2 minutes at above 3000 RPM. I cant figure out how to test the sensors (an ohm-meter doesn't seem to work) and i cant figure out why the check engine light is still illuminated at idle given the parameters in the code page. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Check continuity in the wires....

Recommend you check:
a. the EGT sensor blk/blu wire with the stop switch blk/blu wire (you should get close to 0: shorted); and
b. the EGT wht/blk lead with the A11 wht/blk lead of the chassis connector in front of the fuel tank (you should get close to 0: shorted)
