drill or sand down 2 grams from weights?

is there a good reason not to drill the weight out instead of sanding, seems like drilling could be more precise

06 m7 75's down to 73's

thanks

could you maybe use a heavier spring and keep the weights, just curious, the 7 likes more weight. I am running 77gr up to 5500 feet.

I just put them in a vice and use an angle grinder to take a bit at a time off both sides of the weight. Takes me about 1/2 hour to do a set; but I put them on the scale alot to make sure I don't over shoot the weight I'm trying to get to.:beer;

ended up using a bench grinder

i ended up sanding .5 gram of off the back of each then .75 of of each side to get the 75's down to 73's. i used a digital gram scale and a bench grinder and pressed the weight's against the flat side of a very fine grinder wheel and did the same process to each weight. just got done riding and every thing felt great.
