Plenty of rumors flying around, happens every year! Now if they'd just keep the 700, ditch the 800.

600,700, 700 rtr (factory pump gas turbo) should have been the motor options.
like i know some guys have had no problems and there are hundreds more guys not on the forums that had no problems but it kinda scares you off buying a new 800. unless a bunch of guys buy the 2010 800s and report no problems and the new fix this summer they are saying for 08s/09s are reporting no problems it looks like ill be waiting till 2011 or 2010 left overs in spring if everything is well.

love my 700 155 but a 800 144" or a assault with a challenger 2" track is more of what i want.

I doubt that you will ever see a RTR "FACTORY" turbo.

The cat RTR's are an aftermarket setup from Boondocker Performance that you can order thru a dealer.... never would they pass EPA.

I'm confident if Polaris did not have to pass EPA.. the fix would already be out on the 800's.

At the corporate level, were the business has to make money for the stock holders, comply with saftety regulations, EPA mandates for emissions, and durability in the hands of consumers that could break an anvil are all limiting factors in the design of a snowmobile for public release.

I think that discontinuing the 700 CFi was a mistake but there are many aspects of the decision process that were not privy to and weather there are enough units sold to suppport the costs.
