I posted this in perf & mod also.
Does anyone know if there is enough room in a 2004 Polaris 440 PRO X R (Edge chassic not the bug) that came with the 121x15x1.75 track if you can put:

A) 155x15x2.5 Camo Extreme 2.86 pitch with 8 tooth extroverts or

B) 156x15x2.5 Camo Extreme 3.0 pitch with 7 tooth extroverts

WITHOUT doing a drop and roll??????

These had the 140? hp 440 rase gas only motors in them.

Oh and the sled is still brand new and the motor is for sale.

Thanks: Hemi

2.5 will not quite fit, 2.25 will barely fit and a 2.0 fits fairly well, I've got a bunch of friends that run this sled and they work well but need some work to get the big track in them.

I have a 151 x 2 under my 03. I removed the stock tunnel coolers and cross over and replaced them with a U cooler that is about half an inch thick. Inlet and outlet are in the stock place right in front of the gas tank. No roll, I rub once in a while if the track is loose. Stock drivers. If I went 8s or roll it would never come close. RMK suspension and SLP tunnel extension.

if you want to run a 2.5" track, I am almost certain that you will end up putting the tunnel running board coolers on them. There just insn't enough room.

I had to notch my 04 pro-xr to clear the strip coolers and the max height at the notch was 1.5". The strips were 1" so a 2.5 inch will fit but it will be real tight. Probably safer with a 2 1/4"
