dimming headlight on wedge chassis

i have two sleds that do this one is a 98 RMK 700 has a new stator becaus of obvious reasons replaced voltage regulator made connection solid cut and solder wires cleaned ground between voltage regulator and chassis tried to check all wires for damage?????????????

Is this all the time or just at idle? The older sleds did this mostly at idle and were fine once you revved it up a bit. Switching your taillight to a l.e.d. will free up some more wattage and minimize the dimming. Anything that draws power will make this seem worse... hotgrips, thumbwarmers. Maybe I'm way off base here and you are experiencing a different problem.

dimming headlight

check to see if there is a capacitor in the electrical system,my 900 was dimming the headlight when reved up i found out somebody forgot to reconnect capacitor when replacing fuel tank.

My 2000 RMK was doing the same thing. Put on a new voltage regulator and solved the problem. Take care...Jeff
