Hey everyone, I recently moved to Colorado from Eastern Oregon, and know my sleds are going need some new main jets at least for the altitude change. Anyone willing to give me their opinion of where I should start? I would really appreciate not spending my first rides troubleshooting..

2003 RMK 700 (Stock)
2002 RMK 800 (SLP Single & Big Air kit)

I appreciate all the feedback

In order for anyone to help, we will need the elevation that you will be riding at. You can go to SLP's website to get a good starting setup for that 800. If you went up much in elevation, you will also need to get lighter clutch weights. Say that you have 10-60s in the 700 for the elevation that you were at in Oregon, you might need 10-58s or 10-56s for the primary clutch.

On the 800 rmk, you can start at 390's. You jet for the lowest elevation that you are going to have it wide open throttle. You will probably end up using 360's.

Polaris recommendations

6000-8000 feet -10 deg F to +10 deg F 410 #3 needle position
+10 deg F to + 30 deg F 390 #2 needle position

8000-10000 feet -10 deg F to +10 deg F 370 #2 needle position
+10 deg F to + 30 deg F 350 #2 needle position

You can install a lower sprocket with one less tooth, to gear it down for hill climbing.

Polaris numbers are conservative so they will be about right with an SLP pipe and a big air intake.

Thanks for the help guys. I previously was set up for 6000- 9000 feet. Looking at the areas I have been recommended to ride, I will be riding between 8000-10000 feet.

Current Setup:

2002 RMK 800 with SLP Single: 410Mag, 410PTO, White Primary Spring, 10-64 Weights, Team Secondary Clutch.

2003 RMK 700 Stock: 340Mag, 340 PTO, Black/Green Primary Spring, 10-56 Weights, Team Secondary Clutch.

For the 800, maybe start with: 360s & 10-62 weights?

For the 700, maybe start with: 310s & 10-54 weights?

Thanks
