How tight should the nuts on the primary clutch weights bolts without causing the weight to stick, or worrying about the nut coming off. It seems that if I tighten the nut snug the bolt/weight isn't as free moving as it should be even with the help of the o-ring washers.

Cat says 10 ft. lbs. At 8000 RPM's they will swing out. You can shave down the o ring too, that lets you tighten the bolts and still let the weight swing free. You can also snug the bolt then back the nut off just a little until the weight swings free, put some locktite on the threads behind the nut and you'll be golden.

I put a new clutch on my sled. I thought the same thing that the weights were pretty stiff when i tightened them up. I took the sled out and it pulls 8000 rpm. I wouldnt worry about them. Tighten the bolts and ride.Like said above 8000rpms will move them.
