Nearly Perfect Blue 2003 RX-1M Absolutely Dialed and Loaded with extras!

2003 Yamaha RX-1 Mountain

Sled is a one owner machine that has been babied its entire life and is in absolutely excellent condition with all the best modifications. The sled is super reliable, tuned to perfection and sure to impress! With the Shockwave helix, the sled will turn 10,500 RPM (Target shift speed with ECP/K&N filters) lower elevations (parking lot) and with a couple twists of the adjustment ring it spins 10,500 RPM at altitude climbing. I have my tunning notebook from every ride on this sled since it was new in November of 2002, detailing every change made to this sled. Perfectly prepped for a turbo if one should desire. I really have no idea of how much weight I have removed from this sled but, it has to be roughly 100 lbs because every light weight mod (except removing the light pod) has been done.

2,400 Adult Only Miles
New Boss color matched High Rise Seat with LED tail light

Conservatively Ported 162 x 16 x 2 ½” Camoplast Extreme Track
Hartman Tunnel Extension and Custom lightweight Aluminum Drop Down Brackets
Lightweight Under Tunnel Single Exhaust Increases Power and Sounds incredible
ECP Carb Filters/Velocity stacks for Added Torque and Horse Power
Timing advanced 3 degrees for increased power via slotting of ignition pickup
Holz Lightweight Chromoly A Arms and Steering Rods
Heavy Hitter Adjustable Clutch Weights
Shockwave Adjustable Helix makes it quick and easy to raise or lower helix angle
Holz Lightweight Brake Rotor
Holzman ATACC Altitude and Temperature Compensator

Lightweight Yuasa Custom Mounted Battery

Yamaha Blue Skid Plate
Custom Bar Mounted Speedometer - works perfectly!
Wahl Brothers 8 tooth Extrovert Drivers

Holz Racing Mountain Bar
12 Volt Accessory Outlet - for your GPS, etc
Anti Stab Idler Wheel kit
Custom Blue Cobra Windshield
Lighted Water Temperature Gauge
Yamaha Side Covers
Blue Hand Guards

New Nytro Mountain rear flap and also a Yamaha Blue shortie
Blue non slip foot well edging
Blue tunnel traction Brackets
Yamaha Blue Billet Gas Cap
Yamaha Service Manual
Tunning handbook(s) - from day 1
Blue Zenon high intensity bulbs
Sway bar removed don't need it with Holtz front end (but comes with sled)

Extremely compact jumper cables- just in case
Matching Yamaha Factory Genisis Extreme Deluxe Cover
Matching new Fly Backpack with hydro pack
Matching Yamaha/Reima size large jacket
Matching Yamaha/Reima size medium long bibs

$ 4,250

Or I will sell it for $3,999 but, if so, I will keep the Holtzman ATACC, the Shockwave adjustable helix and the Heavy Hitters for my Son's Mountain Max. I would replace the Shockwave with a Dalton 54/42 or stock 42 degree helix. The Heavy Hitters would be replaced with 8DN-00, 8DN-10 or 8BU-10 weights.

Please send me a PM if interested.

I am just west of Spokane Washington which is in eastern Washington (near north Idaho).

I'll add a few more pictures.I see I don't have as many as I thought.

Thank You!

I know I have even more mods than those posted, I just can't seem to think of anymore right now. I'll have to go and look in the covered trailer at the sled and see if I can discover any more I missed.

I MAY consider including (if you happen to be the same size as me) a Blue Yamaha/Reima coat and bibs with the sled.

The jacket is size large and the bibs are size medium long.

Here is a picture of the bibs with a demo M8 I was riding.

Shockingly yes, it is true.

I still love my RX-1 and frankly I have a ton of time and money into this sled and it works incredibly well but, I'm not getting any younger and I really wanted to buy a new sled last season. I waited for the 2010 Yamahas to be released and the Nytro MTX SE really wasn't what I was looking for.

So I just about bought a Blue and white 09 Summit XP but, the engine related issues scared me off. Then I focused on a 09 Polaris Dragon 800 but, I was shocked to read they too were having a ton of engine related issues with their 09 800 engines.

I have never been a Cat fan but, they seemed to have the only 800 engine that was semi reliable. I rode a 09 M1000 Sno Pro and a 09 M8 Sno Pro and I bought a 2009 M8 Sno Pro 153.

Don't worry, I still wear blue underwear. I'll be back when Yamaha makes something that appeals to me again. In the meantime, I will enjoy my time on my new kitty cat although, I bet my RX-1 will probably stay right with (if not outdo) my new M8. This particular RX-1 really works incredibly well!

I added about a dozen more pictures I took today inside the covered trailer. Some are on the initial post and some are in another post.

It seems I forgot to add the matching Yamaha Genisis Extreme snowmobile cover and Fly Hydropack in the original post.

I edited it and added it now.

Let me think, what else did I forget to add????
