My '05 Cat M6 has started to backfire occasionally when I'm trying to start it. Usually happens when it's warm. Can this turn into a serious issue? Anyone had this happen? Possible remedy...or just keep riding it ?

I have an 08 M1 that occasionally backfires. Mine usually does it when shutting it off after a long hard pull. Haven't thought twice about it.

I have an 05 Summit that will backfire after I shut it off. Not every time. I can turn it off and count to about 10 and then BOOM. Like a gunshot just went off. Some times I wonder if this is causing any damage.

i noticed on my m7 that it will pop real good if i go wot a couple times in it is not running then start it, scared the crap out me in the shop first time i did it and the time iwas ajusting my skis when my buddy did it right next to my ear. i wouldnt worry about it
