Seems like this would be an amazing safety product in the mountains, but I can't really find much info other than reveal stuff from a couple of years ago. I can't really understand why something like this wouldn't be more popular.

It can't be popular if it isn't available.

The feature of an airbag pack with an avalung is kinda cool I guess. Is that what people want? The shovel trick is cool but again are people asking for that. Not all euro stuff is appealing to the NA market.

Seems like BCA and black diamond have taken over the market in NA with smart designs and lighter weight packs. The vest packs from BCA and North Face are really selling well. Very comfortable and not bulky.
