i've got a 18 mtn cat that i put an adapt clutch on, and im planning on putting a new secondary to match and instead of buying stock springs and helix i am wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good clutch kit.

i am planning on buying a 22 secondary. i guess there probably the same clutches just maybe different factory spring or helix so with a clutch kit it really wont make a difference whether its a 18 19 20 21 or 22 or is there other changes, i cant remember.

The adapt clutch rocks. I am currently this year testing some new springs But for now the 55/255 is the best that comes in the clutch.
Bikeman Snyper weights rock . compared to stock the just flat work so much better.
I sold over 50set up clutches last year and everyone was supper happy.

I am weighing the benefit of adding the titanium bolt kit to my Adapt clutch to save some more weight. I suppose if I do that I should probably swap out the stock brake rotor for a lightweight one as well. However, it looks like it only save 1/2 lb.

Can you educate me on this clutch cover?
Advantages over stock?
IMO that cover looks weak af. I say there is no advantage to that cover. Peeps will claim more airflow but how much does that help when the clutch cover flies apart? Who knows. I’m skeered.

if it were between the rotor or the clutch bolt kit i would go with the bolt kit, the engine is always rotating at least 2.6 times as fast as the brake rotor since the rotor is on the track shaft on the cats. I thought there would be a few people who had tried multiple clutch kits by now and would have some good insight. It seems really good in stock form but always looking for better.

sleds used to come with windage plates to reduce air drag, now because doo has heat issues everyone thinks fans are a good idea. sorry for the hate, but why tf would a guy put Ti bolts on a clutch just to turn around and put a fan on it?
Those snyper weights are impressive the amount of adjustability on a positive note :)

The Bikeman covers were breaking last year and they had to update the design. Fixed for this year. Supposedly.

It used to be cool when we would have to open our hoods just to add oil ect..ect- and show off our under hood bling.
These day's bling is something we do call sled wraps- it's all about getting noticed. ( they do help re-sale from tree scratches) but, People will by cool stuff and that's what keeps the market going.

I have always wondered if peeps ever get their clutch re-balanced after adding aftermarket tower covers.

I have the MDS weights with my Adapt clutch. I only tried them for a few rides last year and have yet to try them again this year. I tried a believe it was a 120/240 spring and I see I changed it to a 80/255 at the end of last season to pull a few more RPM without having to drop any weight off my primary.
I have used MDS in my 09 M8, my 15 M8000 and now in my 20 Alpha One. There may be better clutch weights out there now but, these are all I have used for more than a decade.
